Bluetooth

Bluetooth

Bluetooth is a wireless technology standard that is very popular especially with cell phones, sensors, and other small devices. This protocol is able to exchange information within small distances usually within 10m but can go up to 100m (with the expense of a much higher power consumption and slower transfer as range increases). Most smartphones now also have Bluetooth pre-built in it making Bluetooth accessories very popular amongst users. As of June 2010 the Bluetooth Special Interest Group, the group governing Bluetooth technology, released the Bluetooth 4.0 wireless standard also known as Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE). The new protocol is lower in power consumption and simpler to implement designed to accommodate the increasing number of smartphones with Bluetooth installed.

The multimedia audio can be streamed from one device to another over a Bluetooth Audio 2-Way Splitter. It supports up to two Bluetooth earphones or receivers simultaneously. Each A2DP service, of possibly many, is designed to uni-directionally transfer an audio stream in up to 2 channel stereo, either to or from the Bluetooth host.
